We'd like to give a huge THANK YOU to Honeoye Central School. They gave all these donations to help our community after last week's fire. They also made cash donations and gift card donations. We are beyond thankful!

There is a lot of great donation information and options in this article for the victims of the Ovid fire:

Donations for victims of the fire in Ovid last night can be made at the following locations (according to what you're donating).
***Please note donations to school locations must happen during school hours. ES: 8 to 2:30, MS/HS: 7:30 to 2:30

As Ovid begins the recovery process after last night’s devastating fire, there will be no school today for South Seneca. The High School will communicate the rescheduling of today’s Regents Exams soon. Tonight’s meeting of the Board of Education will still happen as scheduled.
We are thankful for the first responders-- and everyone else-- who worked through the night to support those in need, and we will begin communicating today about supports that continue to be available.

With early morning wind chill temperatures forecasted to be at dangerous levels, South Seneca will be operating on a two hour delay Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
All planned Regents Exams for high school students will be administered taking the delay into account, meaning start times may be adjusted. Please look for Parent Square notices from Ms. Horton for details.

January 21, 6:30pm
We are aware of the ongoing fire in downtown Ovid this evening, and will be doing all we can to support those affected. We are so thankful for our community of first responders, and have them in our thoughts tonight.
In the past two weeks, students in local history had the opportunity to hear from Craig Williams and Carrie Smalser about the Willard Aslyum. Craig Williams is a retired NYS Museum employee with years of experience researching Willard and Carrie is a lifetime Ovid resident that grew up in and around Willard. Both brought a wealth of experience and knowledge that gave the students insider perspectives into the lives and stories that came from the Willard Campus.

It's good to be back after the break. Seeing kids bundled up for the cold weather and ready to wrap up the second marking period is a sure sign of how fast the year is going. If you need access to warm wear for your child, please reach out, there are some resources we can share.
🎶 We're back from break and hitting all the right notes! 🥁🎤 Our students are showing off their incredible musical talents and kicking off the new year in perfect harmony. 🎻✨ #MusicMatters #BackToSchool
