A big congrats to all of these Falcons! #foreverfalcons #honorroll

Good morning this is Steve Parker Zielinski, Superintendent at South Seneca. There is a water main break this morning in Interlaken, and with a half-day of instruction scheduled, we will need to cancel school today for Grades PK-5. Interlaken staff will report at noon, and all scheduled parent teacher conferences for this afternoon will take place as planned. The public information session for the capital project proposal will also go on as scheduled.
Once again, school is cancelled today for grades PK-5 only. Thank you.

Come out tomorrow night!

This is a message to notify you that there is going to be an ambulance at the MS/HS. We are addressing an individual medical concern with a staff member. There is no safety concern to others.
We couldn't be more thankful for being part of such an incredible community. To every South Seneca community member, we hope your day is filled with gratitude, a little bit too much food, family, friends, a Bills win, and a great nap. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! #foreverfalcons

Congrats to Sawyer, Blake, and Ryleigh for being named Students of the Month over at TST BOCES! #foreverfalcons

Students in Mrs. Jensen's fifth grade ELA class built apple turkeys and made STEM connections this week!

This is a message to notify you that there is an ambulance at the MS/HS. We are addressing an individual medical concern with a student. There is no safety concern to others.
The community is invited to a Public Information Session on Wednesday, November 30 at 6 p.m. in the Elementary Auditorium in Interlaken to hear more about the 2022 Capital Project proposal, and to get questions answered.
For more information on the Capital Project proposal, visit our Capital Project resource page on our website:

The 4th grade had a great time this morning at Persoon's Dairy! The kids got to meet the cows, see how the cows are milked using technology (a great STEM connection), and got to try some curds from Lively Run Dairy that are made with the milk from Persoons. What a trip!

Public Notice November 15:
A news article published today included a headline that our Middle-High School was placed into lockdown on Monday, but it would be more accurate to say that the school was “minutes away” from communicating a shelter-in-place protocol to the school community.
Understanding that our outer doors are always locked during a school day, we first received word from law enforcement about the person of concern around 11:25am, and in the roughly twenty minutes when we were clarifying that there was no threat to the school itself, and that we had the most accurate information to include in a public notice, we were informed that the suspect had been taken into custody. During those twenty minutes, we had continuous communication from law enforcement to update us on the situation.

Congrats to Carissa, Luke, and Breana on being this months recipients of Student of the Month and Teacher of the Month. Well deserved! #foreverfalcons

The new movement and sensory path is up and ready for little feet to start using! Thanks @SenecaCountyDOH and the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities Grant for making this possible!
