The 4th grade at got a taste of Colonial Times yesterday with a visit from Nellie Ludemann, the Executive/ Education Director of the Seneca Falls Historical Society! Nellie brought all kinds of authentic artifacts to supplement our study of the time period.
Our first grade artists produced these lovely snowy night paintings on canvas. You can almost see the snowflakes fall!

With widespread snow in the region this afternoon, South Seneca will be cancelling our Extended Day Program today, January 25. Students will follow their regular dismissal plans. Our regular SSAFE program in Interlaken will remain open.
Our Athletic Director is making adjustments to teams’ schedules as well– those will be communicated team by team.

A student in the Middle-High School this week had an outburst that included making threatening statements directed at a particular staff member. Some of the words used during the outburst included mention of “shooting.” As the community knows, we always conduct threat assessments when statements like this are made, and this threat was assessed as non-credible.
We urge parents to speak to your children about making any kind of statement in today’s climate that relates to violence in any form. These statements can bring serious consequences to those making them, and take up valuable law enforcement and school personnel time to process.
A fantastic Falcon shout-out to our wrestling team! They earned 3rd place this weekend at the League Tournament. Trent Stagg was also named "The Most Outstanding Wrestler." Way to go!
Our 4th graders received an amazing addition to their classroom recently: A Growth Tower! The kids are so excited about growing their own plants in class. Huge thanks to the Creating Healthy Schools and Community Grant!
