Students kicked off the year in US History with a fun, collaborative activity! In groups, one student drew while the others described an image from the board. Fantastic teamwork and communication in action!

September 4: This afternoon one of our buses returning from TST BOCES was hit by a car, whose driver was attempting an unexpected U-turn without warning. The accident occurred on Route 96 just south of Cayuga Medical Center. It is important to note that state troopers found no fault with our bus driver during this incident. All students on the bus were medically released by emergency personnel at the scene, with two of our students being seen at CMC after they bumped their heads during the collision. Families have been contacted and an alternate bus is transporting the rest of the students home. As always, we urge drivers to remember that the new school year is beginning, and to be aware and extra cautious around school buses.

South Seneca Central School District is excited to introduce ReachOut—a program designed to provide students with a direct line to the help and support they need, whenever they need it. ReachOut is a hotline that connects students with crisis counselors 24/7. Students can use it at any time when they are feeling overwhlemed/stressed and need someone to talk to and get support or strategies, or if they are experiencing suicidal thoughts. They can either call 607-600-8986 or use the chat: https://d1ycp1unyf9l00.cloudfront.net/partner/18d82020-52e6-4bbb-b636-06482b08c4ed/site/widget/index.html With ReachOut, you can easily connect with trusted professionals who are ready to listen, guide, and assist you through tough times. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, bullying, or just need someone to talk to, ReachOut ensures that you're never alone. It's a safe, confidential way to reach out for help, ensuring you have the support to succeed and stay well both in and out of school. Remember, it's okay to ask for help—ReachOut is here for you.
