South Seneca received information today from the Seneca County Health Department that a high school student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student last attended school in person on Wednesday, March 24. As with all cases in our school community, we collaborate with the Health Department to facilitate contact tracing and any necessary quarantines. We also collaborate with the Department to make determinations about any closures that might be appropriate. Anyone who is to complete required steps as a result of potential exposure is being contacted by the Health Department or by the school district for instructions. This case will not require us to shut down any classrooms, so our regular in-person schedule can continue to operate uninterrupted. We know the community understands that personal identifying information about those testing positive is protected under privacy laws, so we are unable to share those particular details. As always, we urge our community to continue to take all precautions as the pandemic continues. Our success and ability to remain open for in-person instruction is dependent on everyone doing their part. Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.
Spring sports sign ups begin Monday, March 29! Track and Field, Softball and Baseball. #ForeverFalcons
