Imagine a production of A Christmas Carol that goes horribly wrong! The Hillsdale Community Theater wants to produce "A Christmas Carol," but they don't have enough actors to play the extraordinarily large number of parts. So their undaunted director, being resourceful (if not totally realistic), has triple and quadruple-cast the roles. And since everyone in sight has been recruited, the cast also fills in as costumers, stagehands and technicians. The impossibility of this situation brings tensions to a comical head as the final rehearsal invites one calamity after another. "Scrooged Up!" provides a Dickens of a time for everyone!
A Fairy Tale Christmas:
Holiday cheer is driving Queen Malvinia crazy! The former evil stepmother of Snow White’s story is now somewhat reformed, and rules over the kingdom of Happily Ever After. But ever since all the traditional fairy tale characters began getting along, demand for the Queen’s various potions on her website have fallen off drastically. So she’s thought of a new way to boost sales. With the help of Cinderella’s stepsisters, and Wolfgang Amadeus Toothful, alias the Big, Bad Wolf, she throws a Christmas Eve party. Though the Three Little Pigs try to keep the mood happy by singing carols and telling corny jokes, the Queen’s poisoned mistletoe makes everyone angry at each other. Soon everyone will want her nasty spells and wicked charms. The kingdom will turn into Happily Never After! Jack, the Giant Killer, is really a computer nerd and he uses his talents to alert Fairy Godmama, who shows up in the nick of time!
Both One Act Plays will be performed on stage in a Holiday Play Double Feature at the South Seneca High School Auditorium in Ovid, NY, on Friday, December 5th @ 7:30pm; Saturday, December 6th @ 7:30pm and Sunday, December 7th @ 2:00pm.
Tickets may be purchased at the door with cash and an e-pay option via our Zeffy pay link. Prices are $6 for general admission and $5 for students and senior citizens.

Join us Wednesday, November 19 for on-site interviews at the South Seneca MS/HS from 11:30-5 PM and at the Elementary School from 12:30-5PM.
Interviews will be given on the spot for substitute teachers, teaching assistants, teacher aides, nurses, clerical, mechanics, cleaners, bus drivers, and service helpers for both buildings.
