Miss Birkmeyer's 4th grade social studies class created these great models of NYS! They made the dough in class and then painted them on their own. They look great!

Hey everyone, This is Adam Rundell reaching out to help answer some questions regarding the recently approved Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11. Parents now have the ability to sign their child up for the vaccine as early as next week. As a school, we will mark your child under home instruction and not absent if you schedule your appointment during the school day, but share with us that you want to monitor your child afterwards. It is important to note that your child is not considered fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after their second dose of the vaccine. Considering the need for 3 weeks in between doses, this essentially means that it is a 5-week and 2-dose process for your child to be considered fully vaccinated. It is also important to note that once your child is fully vaccinated and asymptomatic, he/she will not have to quarantine as they had in the past. I hope this information is helpful. Please reach out to me or our nurse, Liz Borst if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you, Adam
