We 💛 Farm to School, scratch cooking, and fresh, local, nutritious foods! Students helped create this wonderful Thanksgiving meal with local donated ingredients from The Pumpkin Stand in Ovid 🙏

This is a great activity from Mrs. Brewer's class. Thanks Mrs. Brewer! Popular culture and the media play powerful roles in young people's lives. Through movies, television, advertisements, and other mediums, teens are exposed to a wide range of messages about tobacco/e-cigarettes use. Tobacco advertising increases young people's risk of smoking by using themes that appeal to them, such as fun times, action, and being popular and attractive. What's usually missing from these messages, however, are the life-threatening risks associated with tobacco/ e-cigarettes use. Activity: Students selected a current tobacco/e-cigarette advertisement Based on their advertisement, students created a truth-telling ad for their cigarette brand.
