With the holidays coming up, Miss Muckey, one of our fabulous school counselors, came into 4th grade today to talk about the many different forms families take!





We love seeing little minds at work in Kindergarten!





Students in Mrs. Jensen's 5th grade are currently working on a project summarizing what they have learned about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)!





Program Spotlight! 💡Spanish Extended Day 2nd & 3rd Graders learning about the Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead!





Students in Mrs. Lutter's art class at the elementary school continue to impress across all mediums! 5th grade painted watercolors of Taughannock Falls, pre-K used paint mixing and duplo stamping to create maize, and 1st grade used clay to make animals.

Reading in the elementary building can take many different forms! Sometimes we read using technology to help us. Other times we jump, skip, and play with our sight words!

The Children in the Stream extended day program went on a quick trip to Ballard Pond Thursday afternoon to practice their fly fishing techniques.



In the words of Mr. Baker: "This building has never looked so good." The elementary building was full of fabulous characters today!

We can't let October 🎃 come to an end without acknowledging National Principals Month & the amazing leaders we have at South Seneca! 💛🖤


There's so many amazing bulletin boards and feel-good displays throughout the elementary building! We love making our students feel welcomed and included.





"Skills" in the elementary school is a time where students work on targeted lessons that will best help them where they are at!





Getting all of our programs back and running in the elementary school means art decorating our walls again. Check out these spooky houses from Mrs. Lutter's classes!





Some of our primary friends built fairy and leprechaun houses, from found objects, during their Outdoor Exploration extended day program.




Please be aware that due to widespread flooding of roads in the district on Tuesday, October 26, South Seneca will be cancelling our Extended Day Program this afternoon. Students will follow their regular dismissal plan. The Elementary SSAFE program will still be running.


Our Extended Day grant provides so many chances for our students to energize!
