South Seneca Middle High School recently hosted this year's Seneca-Tompkins Music Educator Association's Winter All-County Choral Festival on January 19 and 20.

Over 200 students from six other districts, including Dryden, Groton, Ithaca, Lansing, Newfield,  and Trumansburg, visited South Seneca. Students prepared choral works ahead of time. Over two days, students worked on this music with guest conductors that was presented in a concert on January 20.

Colleen Regan, Middle School Choral Director at West Hollow Middle School on Long Island, directed the Middle School Chorus, and Dr. Adam Potter, Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, New York, directed the High School Chorus. Dr. Potter and Kyla Perry, 6-12 Choral Director at South Seneca, attended Houghton College together as undergraduates where they formed a friendship that still causes their musical paths to cross today.
