Mission Statement

The mission of the South Seneca Central School District is to create a nurturing environment in which all students will achieve their fullest potential. In cooperation with the students, parents and community the staff will: provide a challenging curriculum tailored to individual strengths and needs, help students acquire the habits and attitudes essential for good citizenship throughout their entire lives maintain high standards of discipline and attendance of all students, as well as demand the best and help students work to achieve it.

Vision Statement

It is the vision that students graduating from South Seneca will be college- and career-ready and will have the skills needed to maximize their academic success and social/emotional development. The comprehensive school counseling program supports students through a rigorous curriculum while providing a variety of opportunities for self-directed growth to become contributing and healthy members of a competitive global society.

Belief Statement

The counselors at South Seneca believe that all individuals have the right to equality of opportunity regardless of their sex, religion, color, national origin, or handicapping condition. Our services are readily available to all students and all students are encouraged to set goals for themselves based upon their own interests and abilities. The South Seneca guidance department is dedicated to providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to explore investigate and shape their future pathways. The services provided by the South Seneca school counselors empower students to develop the knowledge, skills, abilities and character needed to pursue their individual goals and become contributing members of our society.
