Last week we put out a notice that petitions had to be turned in by April 15, but the correct date is actually April 22.
Sorry for the confusion!

Happy Spring Break!
School is closed today and all next week.
We hope everyone gets some well deserved rest and relaxation! #foreverfalcons

Take note!

What better to conclude "Music in Our Schools Month" than with our Middle/High Annual Pops Concert? Congrats to staff David Turken, Kyla Perry, Chad Eastman, Ellen Eastman Smith and all students on an incredible performance! #foreverfalcons

“I am extremely grateful to the South Seneca Teachers Association leadership for arranging this visit from NYSUT and AFT to advocate for our district,” Zielinski said.
“As everyone understands by now, the Governor's proposal to end Save Harmless – and to actually decrease foundation aid for a High Needs district like South Seneca-- was both unexpected and extreme. If it is adopted into the official state budget without revision, it would be devastating for our programs."

It was a fun Wednesday and Falcon Day at the HS/MS and Elementary School as our MS BRAVES worked with their middle school peers for the first time, while our elementary students lucked out with a Sweets + Treats visit from the Sheriff's Department! #foreverfalcons
The Governor’s initial proposal showed a $1.5 million (16%) reduction for South Seneca, all at once, for the 2024-25 fiscal year. This is not final. Now is the time to let your representatives know your concerns ASAP. #foreverfalcons

The Scholastic Bookfair is returning to the Middle High school library! From March 18th-22nd students will be able to purchase books to add to their at-home libraries. This year students are encouraged to use the e-wallet features so that they don't have to keep track of cash at school. Please check out the Scholastic Homepage linked here for more details: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/content/fairs/home.html

We hope everyone has a great week off! #foreverfalcons

This week is National School Counselor Recognition Week. South Seneca is so lucky to have amazing school counselors, psychologists, and social workers who empower, support, and love our students. So let's show them how much they're appreciated! #foreverfalcons
