Let's just say everyone here understood the assignment. Happy Halloween! #foreverfalcons #prek2022 #halloweenparade

The adults really got into the spirit today, too! Happy Halloween!

Laurie Fort and her Extended Day Mad Science program have been having a little bit too much fun. #foreverfalcons

One of our South Seneca bus drivers joined us for the trunk or treat this week. Here is Jeff Beavers, or as our students know him, “Mr. Jeff”. #foreverfalcons

Love these pumpkin paintings! Kindergarten practiced their mixing technique to make them with Mrs. Lutter in art.

The 4-H 3rd Grade Extended Day Program experimented with erupting volcano apples this week! Love the look on the kids' faces!

Everyone is all smiles for our Reading Celebration Day! Love the pinnies!

Mrs. Murphy's Kindergarten class used gumdrops and sticks to practice their 3-D shapes today! What a tasty lesson...it seemed like green was the most popular color to eat!

South Seneca loves their first responders! A huge thanks to the Ovid Fire Department and our SRO Deputy Presher for their presentations at the elementary building this month!

The 5th grade visited the Bath Fish Hatchery today! Thank you to Mrs. McCheyne for setting up the trip and to all the adult volunteers who helped make the trip a success!

It's just a pumpkin kind of Monday, you know? #foreverfalcons

Things are beginning to look spoooooooky around #SouthSenecaES! Thanks, Student Council!

Katie Spahn's pre-K class in #SouthSenecaES spent time this past week working on a STEM project! The kids used apples and toothpicks to create different structures. Looks like fun!

The topographic maps of NYS the 4th grade at #SouthSenecaES were working yesterday got a coat of paint and a map key today! The kids really enjoyed seeing our state come to life.

4th grade ELA and social studies at #SouthSenecaES combined forces this week to create topographic maps (and the dough for them)! Both curriculums have an emphasis on NYS history, so the overlap made perfect sense...and made for a fun lesson!

Check out this beautiful rainbow that was over our school this morning! Thanks to Mrs. Dufour for the playground picture. Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

We're gearing up for the Fun Run!

It's a new year in South Seneca Elementary, which means new art adorning the wall from our budding artists!

The year in the elementary building has started with building community through shared projects like paper quilts, discussing how to fill buckets, finding common ground, and students reading to teachers. It's been a great beginning!
