Prior to the pandemic, New York State Education Law required that all students entering 7th, 9th, and 11th grade, and those new to the district, have a physical exam on file with the school Health Office dated no earlier than the first day of the prior school year. The grade level requirement was set aside for the 2020-21 school year, but at this time, it is unknown what the requirements will be for the 2021-22 school year.
In an effort to provide physicals to those students who have been unable to get in to see their
medical providers, Dr. Sharma, our school physician, has agreed to come in to provide physicals for students desiring them. Dr. Sharma will be here on Tuesday, March 23, (Cayuga) and Monday, March 29, (Seneca) for physicals.
If your student should have had a physical for this school year, will be in a grade to need one for
the 2021-22 school year, or would like one for athletics or working papers, and you would like
Dr. Sharma to provide the physical at school, please call, email, or send your student into the
Health Office to sign up.
