South Seneca Parents & Guardians,

With the ever growing need for mental health support, we started looking into some untraditional ways to approach social emotional learning during the pandemic.

As such, in conjunction with our extended day program, Mr. Green and Ms. Habberfield will be starting up our South Seneca Student Success Seminars.

Seminars will be held on Google Meet, with the first 30 minutes or so devoted to Ms. Habberfield or Mr. Green sharing information about the topic. Following the information portion, students will be invited to partake in an interactive activity and then have a chance to ask questions.

These seminars will cover topics such as coping with Covid, time management, organization, stress management, mindfulness, college and career development and much more. Topics were selected off of results of a survey from early November.  Below is a complete breakdown of topics & dates they will be offered.

To be clear it is only recommended that your student attend, by no means is this mandatory.

We hope these seminars will boost student morale and make them feel a bit more connected to one another. While it's not a fix all it's a step in the right direction.
