Food Service Worker (2 Positions)

JOB SUMMARY
Performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods in a school cafeteria.

Must be able to work in any position within the cafeteria. Must be willing to work in the Elementary kitchen and/or the Middle/High School kitchen.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Follow school calendar
  • Monday through Friday
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to understand and carry out basic kitchen sanitation instructions
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for duration of shift

RESPOSIBILITES/JOB DUTIES

  • Food preparation
  • Serving students/adults on hot or cold line
  • Cleaning tables and work stations
  • Cashier when needed
  • Attend Pre service trainings when scheduled
  • Responsible for knowing and following safety rules associated with the job
  • Follow sanitation and health regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Cafeteria Manager

Qualifications:

  • certification as prescribed in NYS,
  • successful experience working in the certification area,
  • familiarity with NYS learning standards,
  • creative and collaborative problem solver,
  • positive, professional attitude and work ethic,
  • excellent communication and organizational skills,
  • ability to work well with all members of the school community,
