‘Kids Night Out’

The South Seneca Junior and Senior Honor Societies hosted elementary school students at the 8th annual Kids Night Out for an evening of fun and excitement. The event is sponsored by the Honor Societies with the help of Elementary and Middle School art teacher Breana Copp.
Once everyone had arrived and been divided into groups, they bounced from activity to activity around the school. Stations had been set up with a number of activities from karaoke to face painting and were led by student volunteers. A total of 45 students volunteered to run the stations or be group leaders.
There were craft stations with students making paper Christmas trees or candy toboggans (made from chocolate bars and candy canes). Game rooms had “Christmas tree” stacking contests with green and red cups or a jingle bell toss. Any groups that had already been to the face painting station continued to the next station with fake monocles and mustaches, or stars and rainbows on their faces.
A special thanks to Mary and Billy Ose, Becky Crane, Jill Appleby, Karen Denmark, the HS Art Club, and Rebecca DeGrave for helping make Kids Night Out a success for all involved.
