SS Students Love Reading

Three UPK classes walked from the South Seneca Elementary School to the Interlaken Public Library for a morning of fun and reading with Ms. Mimi recently.

The students were greeted by library staff and smiles as they gathered in the children’s section of the library for story time. Together, they read stories about the coming of winter and how bears and other animals prepare for the cold season.

Teachers Carly Hungerford, Katie Clemenson, Erin Harter and Danielle Sanders accompany their classes to make the trip once a month in order to encourage community involvement and to introduce them to learning resources available where they live. A number of parents came along for the trip as well, and parents are invited to join each month.
