Updates During Coronavirus Closure
Coronavirus Guidance 2020Breakfast and Lunch meals are prepared at our MSHS in Ovid, and are now being delivered door-to-door on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Deliveries will include enough meals to last until the next delivery date. As drivers arrive for deliveries, please observe proper social distancing practice, and secure any animals. If you initially indicated that you did not need the meals, but circumstances have changed, simply call our food service department at 869-9636 ext. 4111and we will include you on the next delivery.
The South Seneca Board of Education, at its March 25 board meeting, has accepted an adjustment to the 2019-20 academic calendar, moving three spring break days (from April 7-9) to allow for online and home-based learning to continue those days. The three off-days have been moved to March 27, April 3, and April 13. This will allow for a break from academics to occur on three consecutive long weekends: March 27-29, April 3-6, and April 10-13 during our current closure period.
This means that April 7, 8, and 9 will be considered school days from home, with continued communication on those days from teachers on academics.
It is important to note that our food deliveries will continue to take place during our closure period on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays as previously established, including the academic ‘days off’ on this new calendar.
